So I figured I had to try out this new xgl+compiz thing. Oh. My. God. This is cool. Honestly at this point I don’t see what actual /use/ it is, besides making the linux desktop that much more ’shiny’. But you know what? Who cares, because it’s very shiny.

I’ve been yerning for *real* opacity for a while, and this finally does it. The other effects are really sweet too. If you’re running Ubuntu dapper, I highly suggest checking it out!
